A place called Rest

Mark 6:31 says, "And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while." (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat)". Unless we find a place to rest in the peace of the Lord then we will find that we will become weary in well-doing which is not what the scriptures advise. Let's not neglect the wisdom that the Lord Jesus has provided in these words to his disciples - "come away and rest for a while". It is not implied that you stop living your everyday life. The motivation behind the words is that we gain strength by working out of rest in the Lord. This is easy to quote yet difficult to apply at times when the world places pressures on you. However, the balance must be struck. The Lord cared for his discples well-being too as they had not stopped to eat due to the pressures placed on them by people's needs. Remember that the Lord cares for us both physically and spiritually. Let's find this placed called rest.
