Acts 16:25 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them"(KJ).
Even though Silas and Paul were imprisoned the spirit within them had complete liberty to pray and sing praises to God. Never before had such sounds at midnight been heard from that inner dungeon. It’s an amazing thought that our sufferings can actually release a song of hope for others in "spiritual chains". Perhaps we should remember Christ’s suffering and how the greatest sacrifice ever shown continues to free captive hearts just like us. If you are struggling today, remember that you too can sing the song of the free.
